Survey Senior Project Manager

Prudent is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Land Survey Department. The position can be in any of our Upstate New York offices, including Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, or Binghamton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced land surveyor to move to a project management position.

Responsibilities:

·      Plan, direct, and manage the day-to-day operations of assigned survey staff and teams in Prudent office locations across Upstate New York.

·      Monitor projects to ensure they are completed within scope, schedule, and budget.

·       Collaborate with principals, project managers, and clients to prepare and review proposals, agreements, and contracts. Participate in project interviews.

·      Develop, plan, prioritize, and assign tasks to assigned field and office personnel based on workload outlook and client schedules. 

·      Participate in monthly Survey Department meetings to discuss current projects and any concerns that need addressing.

·      Serve as project liaison between staff, clients, and external constituencies to discuss such matters as work procedures and materials, and to provide technical advice and resolve problems.  

·      Establish rapport and maintain contact with existing clients to identify opportunities for new work, ensure customer satisfaction, and build lasting relationships.

·      Monitor project budgets and accountability for project profitability; prepare and review project billing reports.

·      Mentor survey staff by consistently sharing knowledge and experience and providing advice and direction to help them progress in their careers.

Qualifications:

·       A minimum of 10 years of survey experience.

·       Licensed Land Surveyor in New York or actively working toward licensure.

·       Excellent attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.

·       Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·       Valid driver's license.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $115,000*
