Prudent Engineering, a multi-disciplinary engineering and survey firm, has appointed Beverly Strachan as chief operating officer.

In her new role, Strachan will be responsible for collaborating with department managers to ensure operational excellence, exceptional client service and continued growth of the firm. Based in the firm’s East Syracuse office, she will also continue to lead Prudent’s statewide Construction Inspection Services department.

With Prudent Engineering for 17 years, Strachan first joined the firm as a construction inspection project manager. She quickly advanced to manager of the firm’s Construction Inspection business for New York State and led the growth that elevated the firm to prime contractor status on several large inspection projects. She has managed more than 100 bridge projects and more than 50 construction inspection term agreements and was instrumental in securing some the firm’s largest projects.
