For this LDSA Bridge/Culvert Replacement/Rehabilitation project, Prudent Engineering, LLP’s Survey and Mapping Department established recoverable horizontal and vertical survey control by RTK GPS and TPS methods and collected data on all natural and man-made features along with Right-of-Way (ROW)/property evidence within scoped project limits. This survey was used to prepare basemapping and a digital terrain model (DTM) for use in civil design, where the DTM is capable of reliably generating 1-foot contours. In later stages of the project, property records will be researched, and the right-of-way will be determined for the use of designers in assessing the need for additional property or easements to install and later maintain the completed structure.
