Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We have an opening for a Survey Technician working out of our Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse office.
Scope of Duties:
The following are typical but not all-encompassing duties for this position:
Prepare maps and drawings from survey field data
Make adjustments to field calculations
Prepare survey control reports
Develop 3D surface models
Prepare pre-calculation for field crews to take to the field for stake-out
Post-process static GPS or submit to OPUS
Post-process LiDAR data; register point clouds (not required)
Incorporate conventional and LiDAR data into projects (not required)
Manage CAD computer files
Qualifications:
Minimal Formal Education / Instruction in CAD; 2-year degree preferred
CAD and computer skills (MicroStation, InRoads, Microsoft office, etc.)
Experience with survey data
Able to read and understand the terminology and symbols used in survey notes, plans, and maps for use
in developing design mapping
Able to accurately transformation provided in numerical, written, sketched, or electronic format to
design plan drawings
Able to understand and apply client CAD standards
Salary Range: $21.65-$28.85/hour*
