    Objectives:
    Prudent has been continuously engaged in NYSDOT biennial and interim bridge inspection projects since 1994, including work in every upstate region.

In the last 10 years, the bridge inspection staff at Prudent has inspected over 8,000 bridges, 12,000 spans, and has over 100,000 direct technical labor hours, providing the Project Manager, QC Engineers, Load Rating Engineer, and Team Leaders for all BBI contracts. Our staff has over 100 years of combined experience on NYSDOT bridge inspection projects, with a solid support group of Assistant Team Leaders and Office staff.

All of Prudent’s bridge inspection personnel are NYSDOT’s Training Requirement compliant. Field personnel have received extensive training and certification in safety, access equipment operation (UBIU, Bucket Truck, etc.), WZTC, fall protection, and confined space entry, and attended the NYSDOT’s Bridge Inspection Workshop. We make sure our bridge inspection staff meets the National Bridge Inspection Standards inspection refresher requirements.

As both a prime and a sub consultant, Prudent has provided overall project management, primary QC functions, field inspection, Level I and II load ratings using VIRTIS, preparation of subcontracts, railroad agreements, progress reporting, and office preparation of all reports.
