Prudent Engineering is pleased to welcome Suzanne LaFlair, SHRM-SCP, who has joined the firm as Human Resources Generalist. Suzanne supports Prudent’s human resources operations across employee engagement, policy development, benefits administration, and day-to-day HR support, while also contributing to firmwide organizational development initiatives.

Suzanne brings more than 15 years of progressive human resources leadership experience spanning the public, private, nonprofit, and professional services sectors. Throughout her career, she has held senior HR leadership roles with responsibilities that included employee relations, compliance, performance management, benefits administration, and organizational development.

Before joining Prudent Engineering, Suzanne served as Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager for organizations ranging from mid-sized professional services firms to national nonprofit and government consulting organizations. Her experience includes leading employee handbook updates, implementing performance management systems, conducting compensation studies, supporting DEI initiatives, and partnering closely with executive leadership to foster positive, inclusive workplace cultures.

Suzanne holds a Master of Arts from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester. She is SHRM-SCP certified and brings a thoughtful, people-centered approach that aligns well with Prudent Engineering’s mission, values, and commitment to supporting its team.
